Qur'an Classes

Updated January 2024

At Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ, students progress from the learning to read stage (Iqra stage) to the advanced reading stage (Qur'an stage) where they are systematically taken through the guided reading of the Quran. This process is generally completed by the end of Junior School (Year 6).

Secondary School students (Year 7 – 10) are further involved in this program through the theory of tajweed and any new students are taken through our regular learning to read program.

More advanced students are recommended to sit for an optional assessment for the special Hifz program. This is available to Junior School students only from Year 3.

To keep parents well informed of their child’s progress in class, we have a Religion webpage in which the Religion staff write up weekly updates. Other useful Qur;an resources are also available from there.
