Special Senior End of Year Assembly

Students from Years 7 to 11, their teachers and parents came together today to celebrate the end of a successful year in the Senior School.

Students were acknowledged by ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ Principals Mr Houghton and Ms Rahat for their overall Academic Achievements as well as excellent in various subjects, including Sports Awards.

Ustadah Khadeejah and Mr Azim presented students with Qur'an and ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ Studies Awards and also acknowledged all students who successfully participated in the 2015 Inter-School ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ Quiz Competition.

Students were also given a Qur'an each upon being released into their summer holiday break.

Dr Abdalla as our guest of honour proudly presented our highest achieving students with the DUX Awards 2015.

Congratulations and Mabrook to Abdullahi Khalif from Year 11B for receiving this year’s Principals' Award.

    Vis Naidu is the Head of Secondary School at the Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ in Epping, Victoria. He was born and educated in South Africa with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Diploma in Teaching and an Honours Degree in Psychology.

    He started his teaching in 1986 and was actively involved in the transformation of the political landscape in South Africa in1994. After teaching for 18 years in South Africa, he decided it was time for a change and moved to Melbourne, Australia in 2004.

    Vis has also taught in London, gaining valuable knowledge and experience as a secondary teacher (GCSE) of English. In Australia, he took up a position at a Catholic ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ in Kilmore, Victoria, teaching VCE Psychology and English. He joined Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ at the beginning of 2012 with the aim of helping to build the ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ into a reputable institute of learning.
