Congratulations! The Second Round of Word Mania 2016 competition has now concluded and Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ is a Word Mania competition winner once again on the participation leaderboard for MELBOURNE NORTH!
Our Year 9 students have scored FIRST PLACE within the Northern region of Melbourne, with our Year 7 and 8 students hot on pursuit on Second Place.
They are amongst the 260,000 students from 2,000 schools around the country, who have spent more than seven million minutes over the past few weeks building over 55 million words!

Vis Naidu is the Head of Secondary School at the Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ in Epping, Victoria. He was born and educated in South Africa with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Diploma in Teaching and an Honours Degree in Psychology.
He started his teaching in 1986 and was actively involved in the transformation of the political landscape in South Africa in1994. After teaching for 18 years in South Africa, he decided it was time for a change and moved to Melbourne, Australia in 2004.
Vis has also taught in London, gaining valuable knowledge and experience as a secondary teacher (GCSE) of English. In Australia, he took up a position at a Catholic ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ in Kilmore, Victoria, teaching VCE Psychology and English. He joined Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ at the beginning of 2012 with the aim of helping to build the ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ into a reputable institute of learning.
