Congratulations to our Senior students in Years 7, 8 and 9 for winning Round One of this year’s Word Mania competition. Three out of four participating Year levels scored
Mabrook as well to our Year 10 students who were also amongst the Top Three schools within the Melbourne North region.
The Word Mania Competition will continue for the following two weeks with two more rounds. Our students have a good chance of winning Round Two this week and a chance to become a Word Mania 2016 National Finalist!
Being at the top of the regional participation leaderboards for Years 7 to 9, Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ won three sets of two popular literacy-based board games for the Senior classrooms.
We wish our Senior students all the best for this week’s Round Two and are faithful that they will continue their fantastic effort until the finish of the competition at the end of next week.

Vis Naidu is the Head of Secondary School at the Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ in Epping, Victoria. He was born and educated in South Africa with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Diploma in Teaching and an Honours Degree in Psychology.
He started his teaching in 1986 and was actively involved in the transformation of the political landscape in South Africa in1994. After teaching for 18 years in South Africa, he decided it was time for a change and moved to Melbourne, Australia in 2004.
Vis has also taught in London, gaining valuable knowledge and experience as a secondary teacher (GCSE) of English. In Australia, he took up a position at a Catholic ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ in Kilmore, Victoria, teaching VCE Psychology and English. He joined Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ at the beginning of 2012 with the aim of helping to build the ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ into a reputable institute of learning.
