Secondary Book Character Parade Assembly

7 September 2018

Our Middle and Senior Year students celebrated LITERACY AND NUMERACY WEEK with a special assembly and various fun and interactive activities throughout this week.

Secondary Book Character Parade Assembly

One of the highlights of the week was the Character Book Parade in the students' respective assemblies where staff and selected students came dressed up as their favourite book characters. We had a wonderful assortment from Little Red Riding Hood and the Evil Queen Malificient, Neo from The Matrix, Legolas from The Lord of the Rings, the three Ghosts of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", the lost boys from Peter Pan, Bob the Builder, Tigger and Donkey from "Winnie the Pooh", Elastic Girl and many more. Ms Lee and Mr Vis patrolled the assemblies as Queen of Hearts and Spelling Police Officer.

Students also enjoyed various other activities throughout the week such as the fun Maths games, spelling bees etc. Students and staff also participated in puzzles and games and enjoyed a scrumptious Morning Tea to celebrate the occasion. The Scholastic Book Fair was also another hit with students.

A big Thank You to all students and staff who helped make this week special and for making time to dress up, making everyone smile and laugh.
