¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ DUX of 2020: Aishah Arain

Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ was proud to have presented our 2020 ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ Dux Award to Aishah Arain in a special Senior Assembly on Thursday, 18 March.

¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ DUX of 2020: Aishah Arain

The ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ Dux is the most prestigious award of any school and is presented to the student that achieves the highest ATAR in that academic year. The award was presented at an assembly of Year 11 and 12 students. A few of our past students also attended the assembly.

Overall, our students did well, considering the circumstances of 2020. Our average study score increased and all of our students have secured a place at a tertiary institution of their preference. Well done to our graduates of 2020!

    Vis Naidu is the Head of Secondary School at the Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ in Epping, Victoria. He was born and educated in South Africa with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Diploma in Teaching and an Honours Degree in Psychology.

    He started his teaching in 1986 and was actively involved in the transformation of the political landscape in South Africa in1994. After teaching for 18 years in South Africa, he decided it was time for a change and moved to Melbourne, Australia in 2004.

    Vis has also taught in London, gaining valuable knowledge and experience as a secondary teacher (GCSE) of English. In Australia, he took up a position at a Catholic ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ in Kilmore, Victoria, teaching VCE Psychology and English. He joined Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ at the beginning of 2012 with the aim of helping to build the ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ into a reputable institute of learning.
