Our Year 12 students celebrated their last official day at school with a Farewell Morning Tea on Friday, 19 October 2018. Students presented gifts and roses to their teachers and thanked them for their ongoing help and support.
The event started with Mufti Aasim’s and Mr Fazeel’s eloquent and guiding farewell speeches. Our graduating students appreciated the valuable advice coming from our school leaders. Our students Nour Najem and Zafira Abduh presented valedictory awards to the Year 12 students. Then, the Year 12’s had an opportunity to reflect on their experiences at the ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ and teachers had the opportunity to reflect on the students.
As an Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ tradition, Mr Mohammed Azim’s poem was once again the highlight of the event but what he was not expecting was Fatima Mohamed’s poetic response to it. We could clearly see that he taught her well!
Then our thoughtful students presented gifts and roses to their teachers and thanked all staff members for their ongoing help and support.
The emotional day ended with a hearty morning tea prepared by our wonderful canteen chefs and a video presentation of our departing students about their final year at Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ.
We wish our students all the best in their VCE Exams!
