It’s Book Week here at Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ and today, I had the joy of hosting an immersive book reading experience with students from Foundation to Grade 2, launching my latest publication called "The Big Aqiqah Party".
The book reading session with the author was an immersive and engaging experience for our enthusiastic young readers.
The idea for this book was originally inspired by Ms Elif who was struggling to find books about different ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ celebrations. Ms Elif suggested to Ms Gulhan to write a book about the ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ Aqiqah ceremony, which Muslim families have after a baby is born.
The main character in the book is a Muslim girl named Aysha who experiences a wonderful journey as she waits for the arrival of her new sibling. From the excitement of preparing for the joyous Aqiqah celebration, filled with family traditions and delicious cultural foods, Aysha learns valuable lessons about gratitude, giving charity and the importance of family. The book also teaches young readers about the various parts involved in the Aqiqah ceremony in a fun and engaging way.
This delightful story celebrates culture, faith, and the joy of new beginnings. Perfect for young readers and families, "The Big Aqiqah Party" is a charming journey that will warm hearts and inspire young minds.
