Congratulations to Layanne A.

1 October 2024

We are excited to share that one of our very own Year 11 students, Layanne Abou Lebdeh, has made Al Ƶ proud by being the first to submit an entry for the inaugural “World Kangaroo Day Short Story Competition”.

Congratulations to Layanne A.

The organisers from “Kangaroos Alive” shared their delight:

“We were excited to receive our first story for our World Kangaroo Day Short Story Project. “Bindi” is a captivating tale by Layanne Abou Lebdeh, a Year 11 student from Al Ƶ Ƶ in Victoria. Our sincere thanks to Mohammed Azim, Head of the English Department, for sharing this talented young writer’s work. Her creativity and storytelling prowess set a high bar for the project, and we’re eager to see what other brilliant tales will hop our way.”

Parents, this is a fantastic opportunity for your creative Secondary student over the current term break! Entries closing soon! For more info and ideas, please email info@kangaroosalive.org or contact Mr Mohammed Azim.
