We are thrilled to share some heart-warming news about the recent compassionate initiatives undertaken by our Secondary Student Representative Council (SRC) boys. On the evenings of Sunday, 16th July and 6th August 2023, our Senior students took the time to visit and serve fresh food to the homeless in the city, making a significant impact on the lives of those in need.
Our Senior Year 10-12 boys displayed remarkable empathy and dedication as they volunteered to prepare, cook, and serve delicious sausage rolls, accompanied by chopped BBQ onions and refreshing drinks. Witnessing the joy and gratitude of the homeless as they savoured the freshly cooked meals was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. As part of their effort to ensure a well- rounded service, our team also distributed fruits, water bottles, and packed meals to the homeless, aiming to provide additional support to those in need.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to 鈥淗asene Australia鈥 and 鈥淐raigieburn Quality Halal Meats鈥 for their generous support, which made this initiative possible. Their contributions were invaluable in allowing our students to serve a greater number of people and make a more significant impact on the lives of the homeless community. As we move forward, we hope to continue fostering a culture of empathy, kindness, and service among our students, ensuring that they grow into compassionate leaders who make a difference in the lives of those around them.
We would like to thank the following students for attending and making the evening special for others on the two weekends:
