Secondary End of Year Awards Ceremony 2024

11 December 2024

This past Monday, 9th December 2024, our Secondary students gathered for the highly anticipated End of Year 2024 Awards Assembly. The event celebrated the outstanding achievements and efforts of our students, highlighting their dedication and perseverance throughout the academic year.

The ceremony commenced with inspiring words from our Head of Secondary, Mr Vis Naidu, and Assistant Principal Mr Don Walkley. This was followed by a heartfelt Qur'an recitation by Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ's youngest Hafizah, Iraj Mohammed, from Year 4 Hifz. MashaAllah, her beautiful recitation captivated everyone, creating a moment of profound stillness - you could hear a pin drop.

Students were honoured in three key categories:

  • Endeavour Awards: Recognising students for their consistent effort and commitment to their studies.
  • Academic Achievement Awards: Celebrating students who have demonstrated exceptional academic excellence.
  • Year Level Dux Awards: Awarded to the top-performing student in each year level, recognising their remarkable academic accomplishments.

A special highlight of the assembly was the presentation of the Australian Defence Force's Long Tan Award, which acknowledges leadership and teamwork. Congratulations to:

  • Mariam Siddiqui (Year 12) and
  • Halimah Sheikh (Year 10).

Over 100 awards were presented during the ceremony, showcasing the extraordinary talents and efforts of our student body. We hope these achievements serve as a source of inspiration for all students to strive for excellence in 2025, inShaAllah.

The ceremony concluded with heartfelt du’as led by Sheikh Waseem Khan, leaving everyone with a sense of gratitude and inspiration.

Congratulations to all award recipients, and a heartfelt thank you to the families and staff who support our students in their journey of learning and growth. Together, we continue to foster a culture of achievement and ambition within our school community.
