During the current Term 4, ASC mums had the opportunity to learn how to play tennis, thanks to the City of Whittlesea.
The lessons were held at Epping Tennis Club and coached by the wonderful Yvonne Fantin from Topseed Tennis Academy.
Over 6 weeks on Tuesday mornings, the ladies met with Yvonne for an hour. Most of the women had not played tennis before, and Yvonne started with simple skill-building activities.
Over the weeks, it was amazing to see everyone improve their skills, and by the end of the free program, the improvements were extraordinary.
Everyone who joined in the tennis sessions really enjoyed themselves. The ladies had a lot of fun, met other mums in the community, and learnt new skills whilst being fit and active. Many of the ladies have agreed to continue playing tennis socially next year, inShaAllah.
We are very thankful to the City of Whittlesea for providing these great opportunities to parents in our community.
