We are honoured to have been invited to the Al-Aqsa Community exhibition held at Al-Taqwa ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ. A total of 4 representatives from Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ, including Ms Aseel and 3 PFC members, attended the exhibition. MashaAllah, we were very impressed with the exhibits the moment we stepped into the exhibition hall.
The event started off with a heartfelt Quran recitation, followed by the welcoming address of Al Taqwa's Vice-Principal Mr Hallak and a speech by Sheikh Dr. Ali. Mr Hallak shared that Masjid Al-Aqsa is not only the Qibla mosque(with the prominent silver/black dome) or the Dome of the Rock, but it encompasses a very large area. The name Masjid Al- Aqsa translates to "farthest mosque" and the third most holy place in Islam.
Before the start of the Al- Aqsa exhibition tour, a group of students performed a nasheed for the all guests present, consisting of representatives from the community, imams and parents.
Amongst the exhibits on display were the Buraq Wall, the Dome of the Chain, a miniature version of the Dome of the Rock built by Caliph Abd al- Mallk, Dome of the Rock also known as Qubbatus Saqqara, Mimbar of Saladin and the museum.
The exhibition tour ended with a Virtual Reality session about Al-Aqsa. Not only were we engaged, the tour was indeed insightful as we learnt about the rich history of Al-Aqsa, mashaAllah.
