Clean Eating Workshop a Huge Success

21 September 2018

As a part of the community engagement strategy, one of the things we are passionate about is developing programs for mums with small children that are designed as a grassroots approach to educating women and thereby enriching the lives of whole families.

The "Clean Eating & Nude Food" workshop last Friday was run by health and wellness coach and owner of Organic Instinct, Ms Derya Kucukali, with the generous support of City of Whittlesea’s Sustainable Outreach Program facilitated by Randa Almushcab.

Following the standard ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ Storytime program mums & bubs shared in a delicious morning tea. Arts, crafts, Playdough and toys stations kept the little ones busy while mums gained some valuable knowledge on the importance of clean, sustainable eating and preparing healthy lunches.

Since this is something our community is clearly very passionate about there will be a greater focus on sustainable living moving forward, in the lead up to developing our own community gardens, inShAllah, complete with a chicken coop.
