Parking and Safety Around Schools
We cannot stress the utmost importance that Road and Child Safety are a shared responsibility. We can only keep our students and community safe if we have your full support. Please adhere to safe driving and parking and in and around the ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ grounds.
We understand that parking at the ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ can be challenging due to limited spaces and heavy traffic at peak drop-off and pick-up times as well as during Jummah prayers, but doing it correctly can save lives! Children are unpredictable and often move quickly, so as adults and as a school community, we must ensure their safety. By parking correctly, we can do that.
One of the easiest ways families can keep children safe in parking lots and driveways is to teach and consistently enforce a parking lot safety routine, like the S.T.A.R. method:
- STOP: As soon your child gets out of the car, tell them to stop and stand still. Don’t let them run out without looking!
- TOUCH: Ask them to touch a safe place on the car and keep your child’s hand there!
- ATTENTION: Teach them to pay attention and look at the cars around them.
- READY: Ask your child to wait for you to tell them it’s time to go. Then take his or her hand and go, or tell them it’s safe to move.
The attached parking and safety notice has been developed by Council to assist with advising parents/motorists about the relevant road rules, especially around schools.

Introducing Our 2025 PFC Leadership and Vision
At Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ, the Parents and Friends Community (PFC) plays an essential role in building a vibrant and inclusive school environment. The PFC brings parents, staff, and students together through meaningful initiatives that strengthen our sense of community and shared purpose.
The PFC is involved in organising memorable events such as the annual Sports Carnival, pre-Eid market, sisters Iftar, bake sales, and more. These activities not only raise funds for the ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ but also create opportunities for parents to bond and contribute to the vibrant atmosphere at Al ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ.
We are excited to introduce Ms Ayesha Quraishi and Ms Mona Elsaafin as the Co-Presidents of the PFC for 2025. Both bring years of experience and passion for creating opportunities that connect and enrich our school community. Under their leadership, the PFC will continue its important mission of fostering engagement and support among families.
We warmly invite all parents, both new and returning, to become part of the PFC. Whether you can lend a hand at events, share ideas, or provide support in any capacity, your involvement will make a difference. Being part of the PFC is also a wonderful way to connect with other families and contribute to the positive impact we can make together.
To learn more about the PFC or express your interest in joining, please reach out to Ms Ayesha or Ms Mona at pfc@alsiraat.vic.edu.au. We look forward to seeing many of you as part of this dynamic and inspiring team in 2025!
